Film: Double Exposure

I could not recall as to why I wanted to try a film double exposure method in the first place. Whether it was because I got all curious when I came across those subtle, weird yet elegant-looking photos on Flickr photostreams, or because of my sudden excitement that I just got myself a new second-hand (!) SLR camera; a Nikon FE, or because I just wanted to do a therapeutically mind-healing activity for my own sanity (you'll get what I mean if you read the last quote from this silly old post).

Read some articles about it from the past few months, but without trying I think it would only be in the corner of my mind. So I thought why didn't I just get out there and try it myself. Then I went to watch this simple two-minutes tutorial video and tried it: it surprisingly turned out to be quite easy. Do try it yourself with your SLR. Even though actually I found the part where you have to hold the rewind knob whilst winding the lever was a bit hard (my fingers are too short?). When I was trying it, I secretly hoped I won't break the camera.

And here they are - the four double-exposed photos out of 10 trial-and-error shots from my first attempt of the method - taken both in London and Oxford.
